Birdie Abode

The Birdie Abode is the perfect birdhouse for bluebirds
and other small song birds. The house is made from solid cypress – some
of our designs are stained to allow the beautiful grain and coloring to
show through – others are painted in fun designs and sealed to ensure
long life. Cypress wood is a naturally rot and decay-resistant wood.

• One side panel flips out for easy cleaning. Dowel supplied for securing side panel!

Cypress
is naturally regenerating. When a tree is harvested, the stump
automatically regenerates a new sapling; saplings also sprout from the
root system of a healthy adult tree. While this helps protect cypress
from over cutting, we take green a step further and purchase only
cypress that has been harvested in accordance wit FSC (Forest
Stewardship Council) guidelines. More importantly, we only use pieces of
lumber 4 to 6 ft long, which would otherwise be chipped and burned.
These pieces are all kiln-dried.
